The purpose of the project is to study the acquisition and the use of language by bilingual Finland-Swedish children, young people and adults.Both linguistic and more social aspects and methods of research are applied.In a subproject the language acquisition of one bilingual child is studied in contrast to monolingual Swedish and Finnish children.The aim of the project is to analyse in what way the acquisition of Swedish and Finnish is influenced by the fact that the two languageas are quite different when it comes to languages typology.
